Mission/Philosophy

It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of fullness of Christ.
Ephesians 4:11-13

Remaining true to our philosophy and the Educational Vision of the Sisters of Notre Dame we seek to serve the families of St. Helen School and St. Helen Church by creating a Catholic school community of believers in Jesus Christ, for the purpose of equipping our Catholic youth for the work of ministry, in order to build up the Body of Christ.

Mission Statement

St. Helen School: Academic excellence, respect, responsibility, and service to others.

Philosophy Statement

At St. Helen School, together with the parents who are the primary educators of their children, we strive to provide a learning environment that supports students in their growth toward Christian maturity by relating truth and values to everyday life. We assist our students to become aware of their cultural heritage, and we help them to become citizens who will be dedicated to God and their country, and who will be able to carry the Gospel message to others. As Catholic educators we are committed to give witness to Christ by providing a positive quality-learning environment. We aid our students in exploring ways to serve others, deepening their concern for the establishment of peace and justice in the world.
