Administration

The Pastor of St. Philomena Parish is ex-officio the chief administrative officer of the parish school. He implements the policies of the Archdiocesan Catholic School Board in the parish school and, on points not covered by archdiocesan policy, he determines policies consistent with Board policy and appropriate to the needs of the school. The pastor has administrative, personnel, financial, and spiritual responsibilities in relation to the school. The immediate direction and supervision of the school program, is, however, delegated to the principal.

The principal as the delegate of the Pastor, has immediate responsibility for implementing the philosophy of the school in its regular operation.Sister is responsible for administering the entire school program, supervising the staff and the instructional program; relating with the parents, the parish, and the general public. In a “nutshell,” Sister insures that we are EDUCATING WITH THE MIND AND HEART OF CHRIST.

Faculty and Staff

All our classroom teachers are highly qualified and hold advanced degree/credentials. Our teachers view their role in the classroom as a vocation – a call from God to teach His children. One of the main reasons our students succeed, is that our teachers maintain and warm, nurturing environment. When children know they are loved and respected, theylearn and grow into the saints God created them to be. With the help of ample classroom aides, the teachers make sure struggling students receive extra support and encouragement and the advanced students are able to continue soaring to new heights. Our school is known for helping all children, no matter what level, achieve and grow. Thanks to our teachers and support staff, we have a high Student Growth Percentile.
